about
You ever make a mixed tape in the 90s to impresses a chick? You threw all the sort of cool punk and stuff on it, but to not come off as an uncultured goblin, you also needed to show some sensitivity. C'mon, you wanted to score right? Turns out, if you didn’t include Sour Times then you fucked up... At least according to the suavest Jag, Geoff, who also came up with this song for our set. Obviously this song is sexy, cool and a little spooky, but it’s also a great change of pace to play live. The added bonus is the Pavlovian type thing where chicks hear this and immediately get weak in the knees yearning for some lost love of the old days! The Jags all go from solid 4’s to maybe 8’s or even a 9 if the mood, lighting and alcohol content is right. It’s really kind of wild!
It turns out while our perspectives have changed on songs over the years, we still really just do songs to impress the ladies! So follow Geoff’s lead and play this for your girl or boy or whomever and get laid!

Surf guitar that is more than just "let's put some reverb on it." Tasty tracks, each with a unique style. If you like Americana like Big Lazy or exotica like Kava Kon, you may want to give this a try. xpatofthemind
I just received my vinyl copy of 1961 in the post today and it's spinning on the platter as I type. Oh the twang. I absolutely love this album. And the fact that I can listen to it on vinyl makes it even better! Allen Palmgren
