As we all came from a “punk” background we knew we had some choice covers to pull from. Oi band Blitz probably has 10 hits that would have been easy to do, but somehow we settled on the obscure Overdrive. Kurt first had suggested “that instrumental Blitz song” at a practice and we all just looked at each other, YEAH SOUNDS GOOD. However, if the truth were to be told, no one remembered anything about that song...but no one wanted to lose their punk points by revealing their ignorance! Revisiting the song was great and it has such a fresh, almost euphoric feel to it. We thought this would be a good kick off to this weird project - an upbeat little rocker that will set the tone for what is to come.
